Anoka County, in partnership with the City of Fridley, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and the Rice Creek Watershed District, is planning for the replacement of the Rice Creek bridge on Central Avenue NE (County Highway 35).
The project will remove the existing double box culvert structure and install a new reinforced concrete beam bridge. The existing steel pedestrian bridge on the west side of the roadway will be removed to make way for a future re-alignment of the Rice Creek Regional Trail beneath County Highway 35.
