Project Schedule

Preliminary design for the bridge replacement began in Spring 2025. A preliminary design layout will be available at the December 11 public meeting for comment and review. The layout will also be available to review online after the public meeting.

  • In 2028, pavement rehabilitation is planned for both lanes of County Highway 35.
  • Anoka County is working in partnership with the City of Fridley, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and the Rice Creek Watershed District. regarding the future re-alignment of the Rice Creek Regional Trail beneath the new County Highway 35 bridge.
